August 30, 2019
I want to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year. As Bacich’s Principal, I am proud to represent our wonderful school and very pleased that your family will be part of the Bacich School community for the upcoming school year.
We begin the school year with great excitement after a year of construction on the Bacich campus. Our campus now offers greater security, and we have several new safety protocols in place: There will be two points of entry/exit on our school campus during the school day - the school office and the gate off McAllister Avenue.
Families can gain access to campus through the school office. To enter/exit campus from McAllister Avenue during the school day, a FOB device is necessary. FOBs can be picked up at the Kentfield School District, which is located at 750 College Avenue. Please make an appointment with Patty Martinez (email@example.com) to obtain the FOB device.
All parent volunteers and visitors must check-in at the front office and wear a visitor badge while on campus. Additional security measures will be shared, as our year unfolds.
We look forward to welcoming all students on Tuesday, September 3rd, which is our first day of school.
Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten class lists were posted on the Aeries Parent Portal on Friday, August 23rd.
First, Second, Third and Fourth grade class lists will be available on the Aeries Parent Portal at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30th. Back to School Night for Grades 1 – 4 is Wednesday, September 4th. This event will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Center.
Parents can access class list information by going to the Aeries Parent Portal and clicking the link in the Resources box. Families who have difficulty accessing this information may come to the school office on the first day of school to find out the name of their child’s teacher and the location of their new classroom.
Please note that Bacich Back to School Nights are for parents only. Our new parking lot will not be ready for use prior to the first day of school, so we encourage our school families to park off-campus and/or walk to campus for this event.
We value and appreciate the strong relationships that we have with our school families. We recognize this partnership is key to a quality educational experience for our children. We will welcome 625 students this fall; Each of the children will share with us their unique personalities, individual experiences and abilities. Our hope is to instill a love of learning in each student and provide ample opportunities for them to explore their interests and passions within the school setting.
We strive to provide a safe and supportive environment where our young students can take risks, make mistakes, build resilience and develop a strong foundation of academic and life skills. Our common goal is to raise kind, confident and competent young people who are ready to tackle the opportunities of the future.
I invite you to stay connected to what is happening in the school and the district by reading the District’s Weekly Newsletter and visiting our website kentfieldschools.org. Additionally, your child’s teachers will keep you apprised of information through their classroom newsletters.
I also hope you will continue to learn more about us and get involved. There is no better way to learn first hand about the spirit of Bacich School and the Kentfield School District.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
