Dear Bacich Parents,

As we come to the close of a very unusual school year, I want to thank you for the important role you have played in their education of your children over the past three months. A strong school — family partnership has always been an essential element of a child’s educational success, but this year has proved to be even more than we could have ever imagined.

We are already well into planning for the various possibilities of educating our students in the fall of 2020. We have a team of staff members, specifically looking at academic instruction, while closely following the recommendations of the Department of County Health for what our classrooms and learning might look like come late August. You will be continually apprised of this information throughout the summer months.

Our new principal, assistant principal, and superintendent have been and will continue to be important voices in this conversation and process. The District Office has recently sent out a family survey (available in Spanish and in English), which I encourage you to complete. This feedback will help us better understand the needs and desires of our community, as it relates to returning to school in the fall.

Today marks my final Bacich Parent Bulletin. It has been an honor and a pleasure to lead this special school for the last sixteen years. I leave behind a caring and competent staff and a new administrative team who will continue to lead our school in a positive and forward-thinking direction.

You are in great hands!
