Thanksgiving provides the perfect opportunity to slow down and take stock of what is really important in our lives. I believe that many of us would agree that it’s easy to lose perspective on all that we have to be grateful for with our full and busy lives.
The wonder and beauty of young children is that they know what is truly important and for what we should be grateful. Over the last several days, I’ve asked students to share with me what they are thankful for and what is important in their lives. I share them with you...
I am thankful that I have a house, food, and somewhere to sleep.
I am thankful for my teachers because they teach me how to spell.
I am thankful for Candyland and all the candy in the world.
I am thankful for my stuffies because I love to snuggle with them.
I am thankful for my mom and dad because I love them.
I am thankful for cake because it’s yummy!
I am thankful for Christmas trees because it’s where the presents go.
I am thankful for my mom because she gives me kisses in bed.
I am thankful for my remote control car.
I am thankful for the sun because it gives us heat.
I am thankful for school because it is entertaining and a lot of fun.
I am thankful for planet Earth because it gives us what we need.
I am thankful for my dog Jake because I love to pet and play with him.
I am thankful for my grandfather.
I am thankful for everything!
Wishing you and your family a happy Thanksgiving.
